My Journey

As an immigrant and engineer by training, I began my career after earning my B.S. in Electrical Engineering from National Tsing Hua University. Before law school, I worked as a technical specialist at Finnegan, where I drafted and prosecuted more than 30 U.S. patent applications across AI, semiconductor, and medical device technologies. That experience gave me a deep respect for inventors — and a firsthand understanding of how innovation takes shape.

Later, during my secondment at TSMC, I supported the company’s global IP operations from within, helping design U.S. discovery workflows and patent risk strategies that bridged engineering realities and litigation demands. Seeing how a world-class tech company manages IP from the inside shaped how I now approach cases — precise, business-minded, and strategic.

Today, I bring that same lens to litigation — protecting innovation through strategy, storytelling, and judgment forged from both sides of the table. I also lecture regularly to executives and university audiences on topics at the intersection of intellectual property, startup law, and global innovation policy, helping bridge legal insight with business impact. In 2022, I founded the IP Talent Scholarship at National Tsing Hua University to support aspiring IP professionals pursuing law and technology.
